Satokowashi-hen, Part 5 (郷壊し編其ノ五, Village-Destroying Chapter, Part 5) is the twenty-second episode of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Gou.
Summary
Satoko Houjou attempts to stop Rika Furude from studying for St. Lucia Academy in several different ways, committing suicide each time on she fails. Eventually, the mysterious being explains Rika's history of looping to Satoko. During this, she shows Satoko the world of Onikakushi-hen and tells Satoko that it will extremely difficult to change her desire to leave Hinamizawa. Undeterred, Satoko asks to view each loop that Rika lived through. Featherine grants Satoko the power to link her soul to to Rika's so that, if both die in a given fragment, the two will then move to the next fragment together.
