Satokowashi-hen, Part 2 (郷壊し編其ノ弐, Village-Destroying Chapter, Part 2) is the nineteenth episode of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Gou.
Summary
Rika Furude begins studying for St. Lucia Academy's entrance exams in earnest and recruits Rumiko Chie, Keiichi Maebara, and Rena Ryuuguu to help her study. Satoko Houjou reluctantly goes along with this, under the firm belief that Rika will abandon her studying venture after some time. However, Rika's passion continues unabated until March 1, 1987, the day the entrance exam results are released. Rika and Satoko venture to St. Lucia Academy and learn that both of them were successfully admitted to the Academy.
Rika and Satoko move to St. Lucia Academy and are put in separate dorms. Satoko struggles to adjust to the formal nature of St. Lucia while Rika manages to fit in perfectly, joining a group of high-society students and impressing them with her debate skills. Meanwhile, Satoko's grades begin to falter. Satoko joins a remedial study hall and learns about St. Lucia's harsh standards. Soon after, Satoko becomes jealous of Rika's new life.
