Onidamashi-hen, Part 2 (鬼騙し編其ノ弐, Demon-Deceiving Chapter, Part 2) is the second episode of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Gou.
Summary
Rika Furude awakens in the Sea of Fragments. She has a discussion with the ethereal being Hanyuu about once again escaping the endless loop of June 1983 and enters the next fragment.
On June 16, Keiichi plays tag with his clubmates and, later, revisits the dam construction site with Rena Ryuuguu. The pair attempt to pull a doll of Kenta-kun from the garbage dump using a cleaver. While doing so, Keiichi remembers his previous dream about hacking his friends to death but shakes the memory away. Rika begins preparations for the upcoming Watanagashi Festival, exciting the other members of the club. Keiichi, Mion, and Rena run into Tomitake taking pictures. Keiichi expresses his doubts about Tomitake's true intentions, though Mion insists that Tomitake is simply trying to attract women.
On June 19, the night of the Watanagashi Festival, Keiichi and his friends spend time at the various festival booths. They meet up with Tomitake, who has to leave the festival early for unknown reasons. Shortly after, the club members watch Rika's ceremonial performance while Tomitake meets with Miyo Takano.
