Tataridamashi-hen, Part 2 (祟騙し編其ノ弐, Curse-Deceiving Chapter, Part 2) is the tenth episode of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Gou.
Summary
Keiichi Maebara wakes from a dream wherein he is seen assaulting Teppei Houjou in a forest. While in class with Rena Ryuuguu and Mion Sonozaki, Keiichi realizes that Satoko Houjou and Rika Furude are unusually late. Rika eventually arrives, though she arrives alone. During recess, Detective Kuraudo Ooishi interrogates Keiichi regarding Satoko's whereabouts. Keiichi is saved from this conversation by Kyousuke Irie, who informs Keiichi about Satoko's abusive uncle, Teppei.
Satoko arrives at school later in the day, excusing her absence by claiming she was running errands for her uncle. The club attempts to bring Satoko into their after-school games but Satoko is quick to leave and return home. Rika explains how Satoko left their shared house and started living with Teppei upon his return to Hinamizawa. Homeroom teacher Rumiko Chie visits Satoko at home but Teppei refuses to let her inside.
Satoko returns to school again on June 15, largely owing to a call Teppei and Satoko received from Child Welfare Services. Rika explains to Keiichi that Child Welfare Services is reticent to help Satoko owing to a false abuse report she made against her stepfather several years prior. Satoko is initially in high spirits but has an extreme panic attack after Keiichi attempts to pat her head.
