Beatrice Ushiromiya (右代宮 ベアトリーチェ, Ushiromiya Beatrice), also known as Kuwadorian-Beatrice, is the daughter of Kinzo Ushiromiya and Beatrice Castiglioni.

Profile

Background

The Kuwadorian Beatrice is the daughter and illegitimate child of Kinzo Ushiromiya and Beatrice Castiglioni, though Beatrice Castiglioni died during the birth. Kinzo had built a mansion hidden in the forests of Rokkenjima called the Kuwadorian, where Beatrice would be raised in secret. Chiyo Kumasawa helped to raise her. To prevent others from discovering Kuwadorian, rumors were spread about a witch living in the forest, though many still suspected that Kinzo's mistress was hidden there due to the supplies sent there.

Because of the circumstances of her birth, Kinzo, consumed with grief, believed his daughter was a reincarnation of his lover and named her after her mother. She became subject to his sexual advances and a child was conceived, who would be recognized either as Sayo Yasuda or Lion Ushiromiya.

Beatrice remained in the Kuwadorian until Rosa Ushiromiya found the mansion and attempted to show her the outside world. While exploring the island, Beatrice fell from a rocky cliff and died. The news of her death was covered up by Genji Ronoue and other trusted servants.

Appearance

Beatrice appears as a tall woman with blonde hair and blue eyes. She usually appears in witch form with a long, flowing black dress emblazoned with the One-Winged Eagle, a choker, and a bow. She also wears a flower in her hair.

Personality

Beatrice has a childlike mentality as a result of living an isolated life within a hidden mansion. She acts very polite and shows wonder in learning new things. She is aware of the myth of Beatrice, the Golden Witch, however this has only led to her own confusion as she cannot use magic. As a result, Beatrice feels a distinct lack of personal identity.

Plot

Banquet of the Golden Witch

Rosa claims that she had killed Beatrice Ushiromiya after discovering the hidden mansion as a young girl. In truth, Rosa had met and befriended Beatrice after discovering the Kuwadorian. She eventually snuck Beatrice out of the Kuwadorian to show her the ocean, however Beatrice slipped and fell from a cliff, dying instantly. Rosa blames herself for the death. In the Meta-World, the Golden Witch Beatrice embellishes Rosa's story with magic, claiming that she was captured by Kinzo, lost her memories and became trapped inside a human body.

Requiem of the Golden Witch

Rosa tells the same story as the one from Banquet during Beatrice's funeral. After being questioned by Willard H. Wright for more information, she reveals that she called Genji Ronoue on the night of Beatrice Ushiromiya's death, who told her to not tell anyone about this incident and promised to take care of it.
