Black Battler (黒き戦人, Kuroki Batora) is a malevolent depiction of Battler Ushiromiya utilized in theories that posit that Battler is the culprit. He is differentiated from typical portrayals of Battler via his red eyes and purple suit.

Black Battler is visually identical to Battler Ushiromiya, with a couple notable exceptions. Rather than Battler's cream suit, Black Battler wears a purple suit. Underneath this suit, he wears a black vest with a blue long sleeved shirt with a red tie. He also has red eyes. Manga depictions of Black Battler also change his sclera from white to black.
