ABOUT ROSE GUNS DAYS SEASON 1
A TOTALLY NEW AND DIFFERENT WORLD

Hi there. This is Ryuksishi07. How'd you enjoy the first manga volume of Rose Guns Days?

I bet a lot of readers were shocked by the setting, which is a totally new and different world than that of Higurashi and Umineko. Or maybe it's more a "parallel world" than a "new world." But if one were to step outside Japan and take a look at the rest of this parallel world, it wouldn't seem so strange...... That's what I wanted to communicate here.

So many different kinds of people live in this world, with different cultures, languages, and points of view, but they all live side by side. What sort of things would they try to preserve? That's the theme I was trying to capture. But I still hope you all can have fun with this story, even without the tough stuff!

Soichiro-sensei is in charge of both the manga adaptation and the character illustrations for the visual novel, and I thin it's amazing how he created all these characters based on nothing but my written specifications. Unlike the manga adaptation of Umineko When They Cry Episode 4, this one's a bit heaver on the action, but with a tinge of nostalgic atmosphere... Sensei's range of techniques continues to amaze me...!

As we dive into this new Ryukishi world, I hope you all fall in love with the mystery of this unknown, postwar Tokyo.
