Terumasa Nanjo (南條輝正, Nanjō Terumasa) is Kinzo Ushiromiya's attending physician and long time friend. He was previously a medical practitioner on Niijima, however he has since mostly retired and left his hospital in the hands of his son, Masayuki Nanjo.

Background
During World War II, Kinzo Ushiromiya brought Beatrice Castiglioni to Nanjo's hospital. After this meeting, Kinzo and Nanjo became close friends. Due to his knowledge of the West and a common appreciation towards chess, Nanjo is one of the very few people Kinzo has ever opened his heart to.
Appearance
Nanjo appears as an aged and portly man with black eyes, balding white hair, and a thick white mustache. He typically wears a physician's jacket over a white shirt, dark green vest, and green tie along with dark green slacks and black shoes.

Nanjo is the sixth person to pose a quiz to Ange Ushiromiya during the Halloween party. His puzzle requires knowledge of basic Japanese (that the number 9 is pronounced "kyuu") as well as knowing that the Japanese emergency number for ambulances is 119 and the Japanese emergency number for police is 110.
