Tamurahime no Mikoto (田村媛命) is a goddess who once served as a rival to Hanyuu. She first appeared in Kamikashimashi-hen and later appeared as a minor character in Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Mei.

Background
Tamurahime is a goddess who was once at odds with Hanyuu because the latter stole an offering meant for Tamurahime.
Appearance
Tamurahime appears as a young girl with short pink hair and red eyes. She has two horns that appear as small white wings. She typically wears a white kimono replete with black straps.
Personality
Tamurahime speaks in a notably archaic fashion, which some characters question. She is prideful and resistant to accepting help.
Plot
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Mei
Tamurahime appears in the prologue of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Mei wherein she saves Kazuho Kimiyoshi from tsukuyami. Tamurahime gives Kazuho the power to fight the monsters herself and directs her to a portal that sends her ten years into the past.
From a gameplay standpoint, Tamurahime acts as a guide and gives tutorials on various gameplay elements.
