Plot
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Mei
Midori first appears in Chapter 3, wherein Jirou Tomitake takes her on a tour of Hinamizawa and she meets Kazuho Kimiyoshi and Miyuki Akasaka. She later meets Nao Houtani at the Okinomiya library. Midori is the one who reveals to Kazuho that her family had died in a murder-suicide in 1978.
Near the end of the story, Midori defeats a possessed Kuraudo Ooishi. She prepares to kill him but is interrupted by Miyabi Saionji.
