Miyuki Akasaka (赤坂 美雪, Akasaka Miyuki) is the daughter of Mamoru Akasaka. She appears as a child in the console port of Himatsubushi-hen as well as Kagebōshi-hen and Miotsukushi-hen Ura. She later appears as a teenager and major character in Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Mei.

Background
In most arcs, Miyuki's mother, Yukie Akasaka, dies in an accident shortly after giving birth and Miyuki is raised by Mamoru. In Matsuribayashi-hen, Yukie survives.
Appearance
Miyuki appears as a young girl with short brown hair tied into a single pigtail and purple eyes. As a child, she is seen wearing a light pink dress adorned with a flower. As a teenager, she typically wears a dark yellow blouse and a green jacket along with light beige pants. She also has a series of bands on her wrist.

As a teenager, Miyuki is an energetic girl with a sharp eye for suspicious people.
Plot
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Mei
Miyuki is a major character in Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Mei hailing from 1993. She travels back in time to 1983 via a portal in Hinamizawa and meets Kazuho Kimiyoshi and Nao Houtani. She fights tsukuyami together with them as they attempt to solve the mysteries of Hinamizawa. After she returns to the portal and tries to go back to 1993, she and Nao end up in a version of 1998 wherein Hinamizawa has been submerged underwater.
