"Super scription of data" is the opening theme for the Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei anime. The song is performed by Eiko Shimamiya and was released alongside "electric universe" on Super scription of data.
Opening animation
The opening animation uses bicycles as a consistent theme and opens with images of Keiichi Maebara, Mion Sonozaki, Rena Ryuuguu, and Satoko Houjou appearing behind a turning bike wheel. Following this is the words ひぐらしのなく頃に礼 (Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei) appear against a black background. Several images of Rika Furude appear, including Rika standing outside of the Hinamizawa school, sitting outside the school, and sitting on a school window sill. There's a brief image of Rena's cleaver falling from the sky before transitioning to Satoko, facing a sunset. Satoko looks over her shoulder. There is another image of a turning bike wheel and then a silhouette of Rika biking from the right side of the screen to the left as images of Satoshi Houjou, Rika's mother, Rika's father, and Hanyuu appear in the background. Following this, a crystal falls from the sky against a black background. A closeup of the crystal reveals images of Keiichi, Mion, Rena, and Satoko. Then, Rika stands in a field of identical crystals as more fall from the sky. Rika looks up. Then an image of of Rika and Hanyuu facing each other overlays several mirrored images. Following this there is a series of images involving Rika: Rika standing in the classroom, Rika sitting in the Saiguden, and finally Rika looking out over Hinamizawa. There is one more closeup of a bike wheel. Finally, Rika sits on a bike and looks over her shoulder.
