Renoir (ルノワール, Runowaru) is a youkai in Higanbana no Saku Yoru ni. He is the third-ranked youkai of the school. Renoir is often mistaken for a girl due to his effeminate appearance. According to legend, if one is in the school art room late at night, they may be approached by Renoir. If so, they must never let Renoir lend them a paintbrush nor lie to Renoir. Furthermore, if Renoir were to point to one of the paintings in the art room and ask who made it, they must answer correctly. If they break these rules, they will be trapped within a painting by Renoir.
Profile
Background
Renoir is a tsukumogami, born from an old inanimate object. He haunts paintings in the art room. Renoir is usually fast asleep, but once in a while he will wake up and pull a human into one of the paintings. He rarely interferes with other youkai's hunts, so the others tend to dote on him like a younger brother.
Appearance
Renoir's appearance is based off of Pierre-Auguste Renoir's Child with a Whip.
