Higanbana (彼岸花) is a main character in Higanbana no Saku Yoru ni. She is the third-ranked youkai of the school and is nicknamed "The Dancing Higanbana". The legend of the Dancing Higanbana involves a Western-style doll that is said to dance atop the medical shelves in the infirmary at night. Higanbana is feared even by other youkai for her brutality.
