Sumire (スミレ) is a youkai in Higanbana no Saku Yoru ni. She is the seventh-ranked youkai of the school known as Sumire of the Twilight. According to legend, when playing in the schoolyard as twilight approaches, you may notice there is an unknown girl playing with everyone. If you follow that girl after the dark of night nears, you won't realize you've been spirited away to play with her forever. As Sumire is a relatively weak youkai, she hunts by creating bullies within the school. When exposed to her tears, humans become addicted to the notion of bullying others. The victims of said bullying begin to lose parts of their souls, which Sumire feasts upon.
