Hameln (ハメルン, Hamerun) is a youkai in Higanbana no Saku Yoru ni. As he is a relatively new youkai, he is unranked among the school youkai. It is said that if one hears the sound of castanets in the music room, they will be transformed into a rat. However, Hameln has the power to transform humans into any small animal, not just rats.

It is said that Hameln is a frightful man when he removes his mask. However, Hameln's love for masks keeps his face obscured. Hikaru Nihei once notes that Hameln's eyes are red just as a rabbits' eyes are.

- Hameln originally used a pipe as his instrument of choice, however he found it difficult to monologue while using it and thus changed to castanets.
