Seventh Period: Metamorphosis (帰郷) is the seventh chapter of the Kaidan to Odorō, Soshite Anata wa Kaidan de Odoru manga.
Summary
Tomohiro learns that Rie Satou disappeared on the same day Miyoko Tanashi returned to school. Furthermore, the offering box at the Raccoon Shrine had been destroyed in a fire. Yuka later reveals to Tomohiro that the police had cleared Rie Satou of suspicion and had determined Miyoko's fall to be an accident. Tomohiro eventually tells Yuka the truth about the curse of Ohone-sama. In return, Yuka reveals more details about the case; Miyoko's boyfriend had broken up with her and begun dating Rie, which led to their mutual hatred. Rie was reticent to tell the truth about her whereabouts during Miyoko's accident because she had been with said boyfriend at the time, who was a teacher at the school. Rie's disappearance is due to her having been put on house arrest once her relationship with the teacher was revealed; Yuka believes that Miyoko's fall was orchestrated specifically to reveal the relationship.
