First Period: Birth (帰郷) is the first chapter of the Kaidan to Odorō, Soshite Anata wa Kaidan de Odoru manga.
Summary
Tomohiro, Tooru, and Hiroyuki are attempt to stave off boredom by playing at a local shrine known as the Raccoon Shrine. While there, they decide to come up with a "curse" for fun. The group spreads their curse, the curse of Ohone-sama, throughout their town by writing the word "hone" (meaning "bone") on blackboards and dropping animal bones around town. As the curse becomes a well-known phenomenon in town, the group then spreads the idea of lifting the curse through donations to the Raccoon Shrine, which the boys then steal. Some time later, while collecting the donations at the shrine, the boys come across a message asking Ohone-sama to curse one of their classmates, Miyoko Tanashi.
