Banquet of the Golden Witch/TIPS

Character TIPS

Kinzo Ushiromiya

Elderly head of the Ushiromiya family. Even as his precious little time left is sentenced, he is in high spirits. He amassed a vast fortune, but by not revealing anything about his succession, he torments his sons and daughters. He is influenced by the West, and is a rabid occult maniac. His study is full of strange grimoires.
Upon Death: Discovered as a burnt corpse from the incinerator in the underground boiler room. As there were no signs that he fought to get out of the incinerator, it seems reasonable to think that he was burned after he was murdered. Too bad this time. Game over right at the very start.

Krauss Ushiromiya

Kinzo's first child. As the eldest son of four siblings, he is in a position to lead the family meeting. However, to the other siblings, it seems that he is trying to monopolize the fortune, which intensifies the clash with the siblings. He is a real estate investor and is heavily interested in the development of a resort. However, the results are being severely criticized.
Upon Death: His corpse was found inside the chapel. The immediate cause of death is uncertain, but it seems his stomach was cut open and his intestines were pulled out after his death. And also, sweets were stuffed into his stomach. Welcome Maria. Happy Halloween.

Natsuhi Ushiromiya

Krauss' wife. She manages the Ushiromiya family instead of her husband who doesn't pay any attention to his household. She took charge of the preparations, the arrangements, and everything for this family meeting by herself. She has a strong sense of responsibility, and is very proud. However, she is not understood by her husband and his siblings, so it can't be said that her situation is enviable.
Upon Death: Her corpse was found inside the chapel. The immediate cause of death is uncertain, but it seems her stomach was cut open and her intestines were pulled out after her death. And also, sweets were stuffed into her stomach. I said it, right? That sweets are stuffed into her stomach.

Eva Ushiromiya

Kinzo's second child. Hostile towards her brother Krauss, and takes a stance to confront him in every way possible, from issues of the fortune to the succession of the head of the family. Originally she would have lost her place in the register of the Ushiromiya family when she got married, but since she made her husband, who took her family name, be recognized, the whole story forcibly came to a halt.
Upon Death: Her corpse was found inside the chapel. The immediate cause of death is uncertain, but it seems her stomach was cut open and her intestines were pulled out after her death. And also, sweets were stuffed into her stomach. The insides of everyone's stomachs are full with sweet dreams.

Hideyoshi Ushiromiya

Eva's husband. He was adopted into the Ushiromiya family as Eva's husband. Since he does not have the spiteful genes of the Ushiromiya family, that cheerful, smiling face is very precious in the family meetings. He started his business from scratch, and now works as president of a medium-sized restaurant chain. Its performance is extremely promising because of its growth.
Upon Death: His corpse was found inside the chapel. The immediate cause of death is uncertain, but it seems his stomach was cut open and his intestines were pulled out after his death. And also, sweets were stuffed into his stomach.' 'It doesn't mean that filthy things were packed inside his stomach.

Rudolf Ushiromiya

Kinzo's third child. Together with his sister Eva, at the family meeting he strengthens the goal of not allowing the eldest brother Krauss monopolize their father's fortune. He lost his previous wive, Asumu, six years ago and afterwards immediately entered his second wive Kyrie in the family register.
Upon Death: His corpse was found inside the chapel. The immediate cause of death is uncertain, but it seems his stomach was cut open and his intestines were pulled out after his death. And also, sweets were stuffed into his stomach. This is why we want to be as sweet and innocent as candy.

Kyrie Ushiromiya

Rudolf's wife. Second wife. She has had a long association with him as his business partner, and after the death of his previous wife, she publicly made the place of legal wife her own. She has worked as his right arm in handling several shady pieces of business, which led them to success. She is quick thinking, and trusts Rudolf implicitly.
Upon Death: Her corpse was found inside the chapel. The immediate cause of death is uncertain, but it seems her stomach was cut open and her intestines were pulled out after her death. And also, sweets were stuffed into her stomach. So, I'll take you to the country of the dreams. Happy Halloween.

Rosa Ushiromiya

Kinzo's forth child. She is by far the youngest child of the four siblings. Because of that, it seems that she has much less influence in the family meetings. She manages a design company, but it's nothing more than a pastime and it seems that the management conditions are less than sweet-smelling.
Upon Death: Missing. In the Golden Land, she finally found her own treasure, more important than the gold. However, that was only for a brief time. Because of a fool, she was forced to once again lose sight of what she had found at great pains. Afterwards, she was torn to pieces and eaten by the demons, and went to hell.

George Ushiromiya

Eva's and Hideyoshi's son. He is an affable young man, and is liked by everyone in the family. He is an apprentice to his father's company, and it looks like he finally has dreams of independence. He is the oldest of the four cousin and often acts as a peacemaker.
Upon Death: At Natsuhi's room, he died by having his stomach pierced by an icepick-type murder weapon. At the sixth twilight, gouge the stomach and kill. Perhaps, they could have been the second twilight.

Jessica Ushiromiya

Krauss' and Natsuhi's daughter. If things can go properly, one can consider that before long she will become the heiress of the Ushiromiya family (strictly speaking, her husband). However, it seems that she herself takes no interest in that. Her bronchi are weak from birth and she can have sudden asthma fits.
Upon Death: She was found in her own room inside the mansion, with an icepick type murder weapon piercing her back. At least in her last moments, she was together with the person she loved so much. She surely was happy.

Battler Ushiromiya

The son of Rudolf and his previous wife, Asumu. Six years ago, he rebelled against his father who had entered his second wife in the very time he was bereaved of his mother. He went to live with his maternal grandparents. However, his grandparents died one after the other, and six years later, he has returned to the Ushiromiya family.
Upon Death: Missing. For a moment, he surrendered to the witch, but he regained his willpower and fight again. Is Battler indeed a toy that's worth breaking to the witch? That being the case, it is possible that she will break him in moderation, fix him, and then break him again. Her torture is meaningless if she kills him. She must alternate between tormenting him and letting him rest.

Maria Ushiromiya

Rosa's daughter. The father is unknown. She is often gotten mad at for using baby talk. She has no concern whatsoever for studies or friends; however, she shows a strong interest for the occult, black magic and such and memorizes as many inconsistent bits and pieces of information with her natural gift of memorization.
Upon Death: Missing. At the Golden Land, she could know her Mama still loves her. For now, she is satisfied.

Genji Ronoue

He is the head butler who manages the servants who work for the Ushiromiya family. He is the one who has served Kinzo the longest, and has earned his greatest trust. Since he is Kinzo's immediate servant, he is thought of as Kinzo's spy by Krauss and his wife.
Upon Death: Corpse discovered in the second-floor VIP room. The murder weapon is assumed to be a gun or spear-shaped object. In appreciation for his many years of service, Genji shall be permitted to sleep in the VIP room.

Terumasa Nanjo

Kinzo's attending physician and long time friend. He was a medical practitioner on Niijima, but he turned the hospital over to his son to spend his old years in tranquility. He is one of the few people Kinzo, who has grown fanatical in his suspicions, opens his heart to. He has a very big-hearted disposition, and has come to the island for a long time, never getting upset by Kinzo's hot temper.
Upon Death: At the servants room, he died by having his throat cut by something like a sharp blade. But, this alone was not enough.
Upon Death (2): The missing corpse was later found at the courtyard. This time, he had an icepick-type murder weapon thrust into his knee. With this, the seventh twilight is finished.

Toshiro Gohda

The servant employed as a chef. He has not served here long, but the reception talents he honed in his previous work are polished, and his appraisal is high. Since he is the servant Krauss and his wife hired, it seems he is more trusted than the senior servants who are thought of more as Kinzo's spies.
Upon Death: Corpse discovered in the third-floor waiting room. The murder weapon is assumed to be a gun or spear-shaped object. He wanted to gain Kinzo's favor. The room next to the study is appropriate for him.

Chiyo Kumasawa

She has resigned in the middle of her job many times, but generally speaking, she is an elderly woman who works part-time and has much experience. She knows how to get things done, and her skills as a servant are by no means small, but since she loves gossip and is quite talkative, she doesn't receive much appraisal.
Upon Death: Corpse discovered in the second-floor guest room. The murder weapon is assumed to be a gun or spear-shaped object. The seldom-used guest room on the second floor was her secret napping spot.

Shannon

A young, but experienced servant. Usually, she calmly handles her work flawlessly, but when she is in a hurry, her errors increase. Furthermore, Shannon is a pseudonym strictly used during work, and is not her real name.
Upon Death: Corpse discovered in the parlor on the first floor. The murder weapon is assumed to be a gun or spear-shaped object. For Shannon, the parlor, whose view of the rose garden was beautiful on sunnier days.

Kanon

A young servant. He handles his work in silence, but he is sullen and his appraisal is not high. There are several other servants who have "on" in their pseudonym. That day, he and Shannon just happened to be on duty.
Upon Death: Corpse discovered in the chapel. The murder weapon is assumed to be a gun or spear-shaped object. The chapel for Kanon. Even after death, keep on protecting the place important to the Lord.

Beatrice

The Golden Witch who has lived a thousand years. She has surpassed the limited of humans and will, just as demons do, appear in response to a human's summons to lend them her power for a price. She likes black tea and ice cream. She hates boredom and people who deny her existence.
After pressing Execute: The mysterious 19th visitor who appeared at the family meeting. She uses the same name as the Golden Witch who gave gold to Kinzo. The reasons and goals for her coming are unknown. She was ushered into the honoured guests room that no one was allowed to use.
After pressing Execute (2): It's a useless dream to try and kill me with a human body. Even if you shoot lead bullets, they will rebound to your pitiful body, as from a mirror. However, there is only one way to kill me. It is possible to grasp that way with your hands. But it's most likely impossible for a simple man like you, I suppose? Kihihihihihihihihihihihi! *cackle* *cackle* *cackle*

Beatrice (Meta-World)

The Endless Witch who has lived for a thousand years. She is known for being exceptionally cruel, evne among witches. She loves bullying the weak and is capable of using trial-and-error endlessly to find the cruelest fate they can possibly be given. And she toys with her victims even further by piling on one after another. This witch is extremely powerful, but word has it that she sometimes becomes obsessed with the art of creating certain patternns, so that her means end up becoming her goals.

Bernkastel

The Witch of Miracles who has lived for a thousand years. Her vast power is capable of creating all kinds of miracles, but her heart has broken a bit as a result. Back when she was a human, Lambdadelta once imprisoned her within a cruel fate, toying with her the whole time. It seems that she's unable to abandon others who are caught within a similar fate. In theory, she holds the strongest power of any witch, but in practice, that is no more realistic that folding a piece of paper a hundred times so that it reaches the moon. Yet, she did fold it a hundred times.

Lambdadelta

The Witch of Certainty who has lived for a thousand years. She embodies the idea that "hard workers are rewarded" and is highly respected even by humans. Though she is a witch, she does not stray far from the concepts of humans. For that reason, her power as one worshiped by humans is incalculable. However, she is fickle about whose efforts she chooses to reward, and in many cases, she bestows her favor upon those who please her the most. Her massive, swift and terrifying power can cause any witch to surrender in an instant. However, she is often reckless, and Bernkastel was able to take full advantage of that.

The Seven Sisters of Purgatory

Advanced-level furniture created by Beatrice. They can act by their own will, but they cannot disobey the orders of their master. They are quite powerful while in their human forms, but when they return to their true forms as the Seven Stakes of Purgatory and fly at the enemy at high speeds, they display their full, terrifying potential.

Lucifer: Lucifer, the oldest sister. Haughty and arrogant. However, she actually feels pleasure from submission.

Leviathan: Leviathan, the second sister. Nothing but a jealous crybaby. She'll do whatever it takes to get what she wants.

Satan: Satan, the third sister. Very quick to anger. However, she actually wants others to be angry at her.

Belphegor: Belphegor, the fourth sister. Sensible and reliable. Because of this, she corrupts her masters.

Mammon: Mammon, the fifth sister. Very greedy. Once she decides she wants something, she will sacrifice anything and everything to get it.

Beelzebub: Beelzebub, the sixth sister. A true gourmet. She would use any ingredients to make a good meal, even her own body.

Asmodeus: Asmodeus, the seventh sister. A girl at that age where they want a boyfriend. She would give up her life for love.

Ushiromiya Kinzo (Meta-World)

A self-taught human sorcerer. His natural talent and level of knowledge are nothing special, but when his nearly insane powers of concentration and dedication were transformed into magical power, he awakened as a great sorcerer. His power is at least great enough that he was able to summon Beatrice and form a contract with her. Though his power is great, it is also extremely limited. He specializes in summoning and barriers, so perhaps it is fitting to call him a summoner.

Genji (Meta-World)

Kinzo's earliest furniture, which he created to serve him and him alone with complete loyalty. Though he was Kinzo's first creation, he was made with the help of a high-class demon, so though there were several defects in his initial specifications, he conceals a great potential within himself. In the many years following that, he began to mature and compensate for his many deficiencies, turning himself into the nearly flawless butler furniture that he is now. He is approaching the limit of his service life, but the magical power he can unleash for an instant rivals Kinzo's.

Shannon (Meta-World)

Shannon is, in the truest sense, Kinzo's handmade furniture, which he created without borrowing the power of demons. Though there were a few problems with her initial specifications, she was given a very rare and precious thing: a heart. It seems that, as a result of his long personal experience, Kinzo came to believe that the power created by the heart contains within it a strong magic. In the length span of time following that, she began to mature, becoming exceptionally skilled with powers of a protective or repulsive nature, such as magical barriers. Because of this, in the realm of barriers alone, she possesses an immense, magician-class power.

Kanon (Meta-World)

So far, he is the last furniture created by Kinzo. Making use of all his previous experience, Kinzo managed to implement a set of flawless specs. Kanon was also given a heart, but it was much weaker than Shannon's. Perhaps because Kinzo felt a sense of approaching personal danger related to his fortune as he neared the end of his life, he bestowed Kanon with the rare power to fight and protect. However, he hasn't yet matured very far and is unable to control his own power and speed.

Ushiromiya Battler (Meta-World)

An unfortunate young man whom Beatrice has taken a liking to. A human who inherited the black blood from Kinzo. The massive resistance to magical power that Kinzo was born with was passed on to Battler. Ironically, it was this trait that made it so hard for Kinzo to succeed as a magician. A massive defensive power against magic can be very useful in a battle against a witch. Kinzo has begun to lose this power with age, but Battler's power is still on the rise. Perhaps it's understandable why Beatrice tried to crust it as soon as possible.

Ushiromiya Maria (Meta-World)

A little magician who has inherited the black blood from Kinzo. Unlike Kinzo, she was gifted with talent and has begun to tread the path of the magician from a young age. However, her power is still weak, and she is no more than an apprentice. However, she is skilled with enchantments, which bestow magical power upon objects, and the magical items she creates are all master class.

TIPS

Epitaph on the Portrait

Behold the sweetfish river running through my beloved hometown.
You who seek the Golden Land, follow its path downstream in search of the key.

As you travel down it, you will see a village.
In that village, look for the shore the two will tell you of.
There sleeps the key to the Golden Land.

The one who obtains the key must then travel to the Golden Land in accordance with these rules.

On the first twilight, offer the six chosen by the key as sacrifices.
On the second twilight, those who remain shall tear apart the two who are close.
On the third twilight, those who remain shall praise my noble name.
On the fourth twilight, gouge the head and kill.
On the fifth twilight, gouge the chest and kill.
On the sixth twilight, gouge the stomach and kill.
On the seventh twilight, gouge the knee and kill.
On the eighth twilight, gouge the leg and kill.
On the ninth twilight, the witch shall revive, and none shall be left alive.
On the tenth twilight, the journey shall end, and you shall reach the capital where the gold dwells.

The witch shall praise the wise and bestow four treasures.
One shall be all the gold from the Golden Land.
One shall be the resurrection of all the dead souls.
One shall be the resurrection of the love that was lost.
One shall be to put the witch to sleep for all time.

Sleep peacefully, my most beloved witch, Beatrice.

The Witch's Letter

So that there will be no misunderstandings. The game I seek is for everyone to try and solve the riddle of the epitaph, not for you to try and catch me.

If you don't solve the riddle of the epitaph, the pitiful sacrifices will further increase in number. It would be more wise to spend your time solving the epitaph than searching for me. If no one can solve the riddle of the epitaph, no one will survive.

If a person appears who can miraculously solve the riddle of the epitaph, I will give them all the gold of the Golden Land, the Ushiromiya family inheritance, and all of my power. I was the one who succeeded the Ushiromiya family inheritance from Kinzo-sama. And, I look forward to seeing who will receive the inheritance from me.

——The Golden Witch, Beatrice.

The Witch's Game Record

Ushiromiya Kinzo
   Died at the first twilight.
Chosen by the key of the Golden Land, offered up as a sacrifice.

Chiester Sisters Imperial Guard Corps

An Imperial Guard Corps formed by the Dragon King Pendragon in memory of the red dragon and composed only of sisters. They were originally subordinates of the Dragon King, but because of a long relationship with the successive generations of Beatrice's, it was permitted that two Imperial Guard soldiers be lent out.

The sisters are beings with false life, created by magic. For that reason, sisters with a great variety of personalities are still being created as their numbers continue to increase.

Manifesting into the human world requires a great cost, and even setting aside their tremendous fighting power, summoning them is difficult. For this reason, they are often summoned as guards in special ceremonies.

The Chiester's Golden Bow

One of the Cheister Sisters Imperial Guard Corps' sniping equipment. The arrow's trajectory can be controlled at will, but it takes a special talent and special training to master its true potential. Therefore, the equipment itself is a sign of a high-class sniper's prestige. It is a masterpiece anti-armor sniping bow, capable of penetrating a wide variety of armors and barriers, and with a rich type of ammunition selected as the arrow's warhead.

Furthermore, the ones primarily used throughout the play were Wire-Guided Winged Piercing Rounds. Because they are wire-guided, they are capable of highly deceptive long-distance precision sniping in complicated indoor terrain battles.

Regarding the Succession of the Witch

In the noble families of witches, family secrets are often inherited by a single child to prevent the propagation of hidden arts and the decline of quality. It is the same with the Endless Witches, where the greatest hidden art goes to a single child, so that the hidden art does not propagate even after the retirement following the inheritance.

Custom dictates that a witch from another sect must make a recommendation for the succession. Lambdadelta recommended EVA. Bernkastel recommended ANGE. It is unknown who recommended Beato.

Furthermore, during the play, Beatrice had also inherited that name, but this custom only began recently. The Predecessor was the original Beatrice, and all Endless Witches before her had different names. After that, it became customary that the name was also inherited, and EVA, following the tradition, gave ANGE the name of Beatrice.
