In 1983, he was a member of the [[Yamainu]] under the codename 'Hibari 13', as he was part of the 'Hibari' unit. As a member of the Yamainu he comes under [[Okonogi]]'s direct command and may have been involved in the schemes the Yamainu were. After the events of {{higurashi}}, Amakusa worked as part of the 1st Airborne of the JSDF and later as part of the French Foreign Legion before eventually being hired as a bodyguard for [[Eva Ushiromiya]]. After making advances towards [[Ange Ushiromiya]], he was fired. He was later hired by [[Tetsurou Okonogi]] to protect Ange while she investigated the [[Rokkenjima massacre]].
