He keeps their relationship a secret from his mother, Eva, as she disapproves of relationships between the Ushiromiya family and their servants. His love for her extends beyond his family; upon proposing to Shannon, he claims that he is willing to leave the Ushiromiya family altogether if Eva refuses to accept their marriage.
George holds several "traditional" beliefs, such as the importance of preserving chastity before marriage.
