During the family dinner that night, Yue's father gets into a fight with his brother Nobuteru. Nobuteru lashes out at Yue and she runs away. That night, Yue witnesses her grandmother's body being dragged outside by an unseen force. Yue wakes the rest of the family to investigate the corpse's disappearance. While outside, the family notices how quiet it is.
