[[Rose Haibara]] rejects [[Caleb Keireiji]]'s demands under the belief that she can protect the most people this way. The following day, several of [[Primavera]]'s vendors are attacked. Rose attempts to visit [[Philip Butler]] with [[Wayne Uedara]], however their car is attacked by [[Miguel Kurashiki]], who maims Wayne and kidnaps Rose. Once in a warehouse, Miguel tortures Rose by cutting her entire body with a knife. She is later dumped back at Club Primavera. Disgraced, Wayne runs away from the club.
